The Dubai South cultural district provides an impressive array of venues aimed at enhancing the emirate’s artistic landscape. At its core, the opera house has 2,500 seats and is designed in a cutting-edge, futuristic style by Zaha Hadid Architects.
The opera house will be outfitted with state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment to guarantee an unparalleled artistic experience. A more private 400-seat theater provides a versatile space for comedies, dramas, smaller performances, and art classes.
Wide exhibition halls that can accommodate up to 2,000 people further improve the district’s offerings. This versatile venue, which can accommodate a broad range of local, national, and international exhibitions, can showcase anything from sculptures and paintings to cutting-edge digital art. In recognition of the importance of nurturing future artists, the district will also house a performing arts academy.
