10.62 million tourists arrived in Dubai in the first seven months of 2024, up 8% from the 9.83 million foreign visitors the city received in the same period the year before. The annual tourism performance report from Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism reveals a steady stream of tourists. Dubai saw 1.77 million tourists in January, 1.9 million in February, 1.51 million in March, 1.5 million in April, 1.44 million in May, 1.19 million in June, and 1.31 million in July, according to monthly statistics.
The majority of visitors to Dubai (20%), or about 2.086 million people, were from Western European nations. South Asia came in close behind with 1.848 million visitors, or 17% of all visitors. The countries that make up the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) ranked third with 1.537 million travelers, or 14% of all travelers. The Commonwealth of Independent States and Eastern Europe accounted for roughly 14% of all visitors, with 1.505 million.
The Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region was the fifth-largest source of tourists, with 1.232 million visits, or 12% of the total. Lastly, 1.028 million tourists, or 10% of the total, were from Northeast and Southeast Asian nations. These figures attest to Dubai’s sustained popularity as a global travel destination and showcase its effective strategies for luring travelers from all over the globe.
